Amboy is currently working on completing a well to provide potable water to the town.  At this time Amboy is using non-potable water from an existing well behind the two-story motel building on the North End of the town.

This water is used to supply the public restrooms with water.  Drinking water is at a premium.

Since Amboy is situated next to the Bristol Dry lakes region, the underground water has a high salt content requiring a reverse-osmosis filtering system.

We have received an estimate of $23,000 for the system compatible with our well water.  This is on top of the $23,500 spent for drilling a new well.

Additional costs will include electrical and water storage tanks and plumbing to the buildings.
